Armed guards will stop or reduce school shootings

February 15, 2018

A guy with some pretty obvious mental problems shot and killed 17 people at a school in Florida yesterday. Right on cue the media, before the bodies were even recovered and identified along with the loony Democrats started recycling the same tire gun-control lines of predictable crap. Boils down to violating the rights of legal and responsible gun-owners, banning certain firearms because they look scary and have nothing to do with duck hunting. Resulting in not preventing one “gun death.” Why can’t we try something that actually works? Let’s place armed guards at every school in the country. I mean the politicians have armed guards and they’re very rarely shot, and the ones that are didn’t have guards. So, if it works for them, why can’t we try it for our kids?

I can tell you why. The Democrats don’t want to implement something that works. They want to incrementally disarm the U.S. public, period. They have said so.

That’s it … armed guards at each and every school. Problem solved.

And allow school personnel to carry weapons if they so choose.

the key, however, is to keep the shooter out of the school in the first place. Fencing, CCTV cameras, multi-door, single point of access w/metal detector are no brainer measures all schools should undertake.

    Yes…I agree

But I’ll take it down a different path

    From what I read…

This Cruz had some mental issues that should have been addressed with medical help rather than ignored

And it has been claimed that the FBI was informed about his social writings that were concerning in September

So far from what I have heard the FBI did nothing

Perhaps a red flag by his name could have prevented him from buying a gun

    Peace and Prayers to All

Guns, and don’t forget the white supremacist angle. Yep, white supremacist shot up mostly white kids school. See Wiki demographics for Parkland. And on site pictures and those killed show it.
Of course, libs struggling with who’s the victim narrative…”19-year-old accused of killing 17 is a ‘broken child,’ lawyer says”.

I think it would be more effective to ban schools than to ban guns. Ban schools and home school everybody and everybody is safe and we save millions of dollars in the bargain.

Israel has a policy that is now over 40 years old AND it works!
“When terrorists attacked a school in Maalot in 1974, Israel did not declare every school a gun-free zone. It passed a law mandating armed security in schools, provided weapons training to teachers and today runs frequent active shooter drills. [44 years later] There have been only two school shootings since then, and both have ended with teachers killing the terrorists.” (Extract from an article dated 2/15/2018 in Arutz Sheva entitled “Israel proves the NRA arguments”).

Not sure why this “gun free zone” thing is even an issue at all with the current state of affairs. It’s more like an outdated issue from back when gangs and drug deals were coming and going through school neighborhoods.. and a kind of urban refuge for kids to have a place to “escape” to. Not like anyone respects it at all, I’m sure. Why are conservatives even banging away on this law when it’s obviously not even part of the discussion of mass shooting? If the law is outdated then it will likely change. Big deal. So what. Wait.. unless that law is one of those “chip away at the Second Amendment” nonsense things that the NRA wants removed.. just because.

Thank you for your most welcomed comment and information. Those on the left are always too busy finding fault with common sense solutions which is indicative of their actual agenda. First, ban “assault” (scary) weapons. Then when the next mass shooting is done with a hand gun … ban that. Then a knife or sword … well, you get the picture.

What do you think about it?
