Not Bad For His First Year As President!

January 31, 2018

I watched the entire SOTU Address last night. President Trump’s presentation was pretty darn good. I watched it on my laptop at my kitchen table. I think the AP was showing it and the “author” or guy who was ‘analyzing’ the speech for them was named Dylan (something). Throughout the speech this moron would tweet and comment live on the site, desperately looking for anything he could find to put in a negative light. Like, “The only ‘bipartisan’ applause Trump is getting is …” and crap like that. And this other guy, Olivier ???, can’t remember his last name, kept tweeting live during the speech about how Trump wasn’t getting enthusiastic applause from the GOP, and that what the President said regarding chain-migration was false … and he claimed he was “fact-checking” the speech. Stunning is the only word I can apply to the utter hatred for President Trump. I watched the whole thing and I’m not sure what I would call dozens of standing ovations, but that seems pretty enthusiastic to me. I had to laugh out loud at the point where the crowd started chanting “USA, USA” … and Rep. Luis Gutierrez got up and almost ran out of the place. LOL! That made my “decade!”

I have to tell you folks, there is no comparison to Barack Obama and President Trump. There is absolutely no denying the fact that America is becoming stronger, richer, and much more respected in the world under President Trump’s leadership.

Naturally the major media, despite the hands-down positive speech by the President, focused on anything they could to cast negativity. Like the President clapping when he introduced the grieving families of the victims of illegal criminals … he directing his applause towards them … in the media’s view was bad.

Anyway, these faces pretty much tell it all …

And

And

LO freaking L!!!

What’s more stunning is the fact that this non-politician, this crass, rude, arrogant businessman has done more to “make America great again” than any President in many decades. He has proven to be far more conservative than we (conservatives) imagined.

Yeah, I don’t agree with granting amnesty or citizenship for the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. I’m very, actually, beyond disappointed in this. I read the piece about Mark Levin’s take on it and I agree with him. I can’t imagine how the President can think this is a good thing, but I suppose we’ll see. I think the President shouldn’t give the illegal immigrants anything, at all, except one way tickets back to where they came from. This “path to citizenship” is a slap in the face to all those who come here legally, wait in line, do things the right way, assimilate and become citizens because they love this country. I don’t know. I don’t get it that he and the Republicans are giving the Democrats perpetual power by doing this. Thinking they will benefit politically giving citizenship to illegal aliens is stunning … it ain’t gonna happen.

One thing I never thought about (probably because of my advanced age), is the fact that all males in America have to register with the Selective Service when they turn 18 years old. That means even “undocumented” immigrants. I’m wondering how many of these guys who have been here for 20+ years, brought here by their parents actually registered? Check this out.

The black community seems to be pissed that this white guy is doing more for them than Obama ever thought about … who was their “king” and “great white … er … black hope.” Personally I don’t get it. What difference does it make if the President isn’t “presidential” if he’s getting the job done? The Democrats can’t stand the success President Trump is having and they’re scared to death of any more successes. The media, the same. They are desperate to undermine his success and twist every action into fear and division, when in reality the opposite is true.

I thank God that it wasn’t Hillary up there and never will be!

Dear Cry and Howl — Hello, Steve! — Once again you have hit every nail available on the head with your great hammer of accuracy, honesty and thorough analysis. America is fortunate to have bloggers as forthrightly honest as yourself and I am grateful for you. The speech was great, the Leftists were dumbfounded (I will wager they are still trying to get their underwear clean after that one last night …LOL …) — If I can find the reblog button I am going to reblog this one because …. because it is so darned true in every respect!

Hey John! Thank you brother! Yeah, as I was watching the page kept flickering and that’s when I noticed the aforementioned morons tweeting LIVE while the President was speaking. Unbelievable. I have to tell you, the leftists and Democrats really twist themselves in knots to point out anything negative. I mean, who wouldn’t applaud lower taxes, job growth, securing the border, record stock market gains, and putting America first? The Democrats. Did you see those clowns? I saw today where the media did find a very important fault with Trump. He clapped for the good people he introduced. Man, that is just soooooo unpresidential!

I kinda agree… for Trump it was a good speech (for Trump), although there were a lot of issues with actual facts…

Sorry, to see you’re disappointed with your man failing on the immigration thing that he promised you and the rest of his base, Steve. The “art of the deal” in motion for sure there apparently.

Hey Doug. Well, we didn’t expect to get everything we wanted. Admittedly, the immigration thing is a big one though. However, we’ll let it play out.

It will be interesting to see how many can remain clean, educated and employed for 12 years. My guess is far less than the original 800k, let alone the adjusted 1.8mil. That 12 year ‘commitment’ is the reason so many DACA/Dreamer proponents are screaming, along with the ‘chain migration’ rules that would allow them to keep their illegal parents here.

Excellent gamesmanship by the President. Offer them something they can’t ever complete unless they are truly wanting to become a citizen.

And he addresses every point that the Dems were wanting, just not the way they wanted. Then he presents to everyone his plan, on TV, in a way that they cannot say he said it differently.

Man, I’d hate to play poker against him.

During the SOTU, at the moment that President Trump introduced the families of the two young girls brutally murdered by MS-13 gang members, Sarah Westwood, White House correspondent for the Washington Examiner, tweeted out the following:

“Dems are legitimately booing as Trump turns to highlight the parents whose children were killed by illegal immigrants in gangs #SOTU” aka the moment when a so-called journalist demotes his or herself from “journalist” or “reporter” to propagandist.

Absolutely wonderful, I watched the entire speech with my youngest Son here in the UK. President Trump has done so much more in his first year than some others I can think of, especially that most ineffective Obama, I could not stand. I so admire President Trump and would give anything for him to be our Leader here in the UK, we need him so badly. I could not get over those bitter sour looks on those miserable s..s who refused to stand, such ignorance to be so rude? Not happy about his allowing Citizenship to some, thats a slap in the face to all those that voted for him. But, President Trump has brought back, what Obama destroyed, and thats President Trump has made America Great Again. All is going well, its just complete jealousy out there. They should, those miserable chewing gum sour faces, think of their Country and support and respect their President.

Here in the UK there is more support and respect for President Trump than some think, the media here play it down but believe me President Trump is respected here by so many of us. Well done Sir, and we so look forward to the President’s long overdue Official visit (the Government and Queen should be ashamed of themselves). Can’t wait to see the President and his beautiful First Lady here. Excellent blog, shall reblog. All the best.

Hey Anna Cottage! I hope you and your family are doing good! Thank you for your most welcomed comment. I agree (obviously) with you. Trump is far more conservative than I ever thought and he has really delivered on most of what he promised. I’m not sure how to take the immigration thing. Maybe he’s just playing the Democrats … I just don’t know. I pray he’s got something cooking to pursue his promise to get rid of the illegals in America. Time will tell!

Reblogged this on Anna Cottage and commented:
Great Blog, a must read. Fantastic First Year, shame on those sour faced individuals who proved how jealous they were that President Trump has proved them wrong.

I enjoyed the full speech here in Denmark on the morning after the SOTU. I chose to watch it from The Conservative Treehouse with no interference from the Trump hating media. We are living in exciting times now and I am so eager to see the “Old New World Order” crumble into threads. We were at the edge of a huge disaster had he not won. Hopefully, his way of leadership will spread to our part of the world too

Maria, I so agree with you. Here in the UK President Trump is so well liked, but the media do their best to play that down. I wish we too had President Trump here we desperately need him. America is what it used to be all those years ago, the good times of President Reagan, America is Great Again thanks to President Trump. Looking forward to Two Terms.

After Davos and his talk to Teresa May I heard that he has got her on his side by saying he will stand by you. Not long ago she was attempted attacked so she ought to be motivated. Also the M16 is getting cleaned up so the bad actors will be outed

Hello Maria, I am delighted that the Special Relationship as it is known still goes on with President Trump, we need his support. I am just so embarrassed that it took this Government and the Queen so very long to invite President Trump and his First Lady on an Official visit here. There are promises of anti Trump demonstrations here, already there are online appeals for support for this, Left wing Marxist Labour/Momentum supporters. The truth is, despite the British media hiding it, there is so much support here for President Trump. I hope to go up to London to see him , walking stick in hand, I will try, I so would love just a glimpse or be able to say I was there, President Trump is a great man, and so needed in times like this. Hope you and yours are all well.

I would for sure go to see him if he would ever come to Denmark. I think the times are turning as people get to know the evil truth about the left and the One World Government wanting to enslave us all. So glad to find a fellow Trump fan in you
