The Republicans sold out a long time ago

October 1, 2017

Nine months. That’s how long Donald Trump has been President of the United States. I’m sure many folks remember when Barack was squatting in the White House the Democrats controlled the Executive Branch, the House and the Senate for the first couple of years. They crammed Obamacare down our throats without even attempting to “reach out” to the Republicans. They didn’t have to. They controlled the whole ‘enchilada.’  The Republicans kept telling us, “We can’t stop Obama, we don’t have the majority in the Congress!” 2010 came along … suddenly the Republicans won control over the House. 2014 came along … the Republicans won control over the Senate. They still said, “We can’t stop Obama unless we win the Executive Branch, the Presidency. 2016 came along and to the dismay of the Republicans, Donald J. Trump wins the White House as a Republican. For nine months the Republican Party have controlled the entire legislative branch and the Executive Branch of government. Every one of them ran for re-election promising to replace and repeal Obamacare. They had seven long years to think about it, re-write it, repeal it, replace it. The Republicans thought for sure Hillary Clinton would win the election and they could continue making excuses while going along with the utter corruption of the Democrats. When Donald Trump won the election, stunning absolutely everyone on earth the Republicans have done nothing but illustrate that they are liars … each and every one of them. They have illustrated that we do not have a two-party system of government, but it is nothing but one big governing body with simply different methods of arriving at the same goals. Donald Trump cannot implement what he campaigned on and folks, in reality it isn’t his fault as far as I can tell right now. The media are relentless in their negative reporting of everything President Trump does or says. Not only do the Republicans control the House, the Senate and the Presidency, they also have a slight edge in the Supreme Court. What we are witnessing right now is the undermining of a duly, democratically elected president by the media, the opposing party and most of those in the Republican Party.  It is difficult to understand the depth of what’s going on because the media refuses to report the truth. The media worked hard to cover up every nefarious action of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. We can expect the major media to ratchet up the negative reporting (if that’s even possible) and continue lying to the American people. There is never an article presented without a negative opinion, a left-leaning twist, a comparison to what good Barack Obama did (gag me!). Go to Yahoo Home page right now and prove me wrong.

The utter shame about this whole  thing is the Republicans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to accomplish everything they have promised their supporters. They have the one chance to control the government for at least another decade and turn this country around by building up our military, getting rid of Obamacare, revamping the tax system, defund Planned Parenthood, restore faith in the government, lower the unemployment for the black community and do something positive for the inner city kids who really have no hope of a decent education. Yet they are pissing this off. It’s stunning and really a slap-in-the-face wake up call in realizing we’ve really been duped by the Republican Party. Look back at the scandals from the Obama administration … Fast and Furious, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, the NSA spying on the American people and the media, Benghazi, the phony Iran deal, the releasing of five high-ranking Taliban members for the traitor Bergdahl, the selling of 1/5 of the U.S. uranium to the Russians and on and on … yet not one person lost their job. Not one person was prosecuted. Oh, Trey Gowdy made show after show in his questioning sessions and you’d think, “Yeah! Finally some action here!” Nothing but noise. All bark and a zero bite. All show. Eric Holder, Lois Lerner, John Koskinen, Hillary Clinton, among others all lied under oath … nothing happened. Nada, zip, zero, zilch … nothing but noise.

I believe the Republicans are working hand in hand with the media and the Democrats to undermine President Trump’s agenda. I think they will continue to undermine President Trump regardless of what it does to the country, to our national security and even to their own party. I don’t believe it makes any difference to them really which party is actually in control of the government. I do know we as a whole need to wake the hell up and hold these weasels accountable. If the Republicans do not allow President Trump to administer his agenda for the country we’ll have a Democrat in the Oval Office in 2020. If we don’t, we’ll have the equivalent posing as a Republican.

Now getting into something some might find offensive. I’ve noticed a lot of the traitors responsible for the death of tens of thousands of innocent people are getting pretty old now. Sad to say, and I know this doesn’t sound very “Christian-like,” but I take comfort in knowing G.H.W. Bush, G.W. Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Dick Cheney, John McCain, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and all the rest who have worked to destroy this great nation, who have conspired with the enemy of America and God Himself will be finding themselves in the lowest parts of hell, reserved only for the most corrupt of human-kind. Okay, “may they find a place of repentance.” Obama and his ilk will follow unless God allows repentance. Just reward for a lifetime of corruption.

I certainly can see your frustration, Steve. But you know, while you and I have different politics.. most certainly on differences regarding Trump… I tend to believe in a basic good of humanity. You seem fully ready to attach devious corruption and conspiracy theory on anyone not agreeing with you. I mean, you are completely satisfied in presuming the bulk of the nation is going straight to hell because they may not appreciate Trump. For as much as I object to Trump-the-man, there is no way I would doubt his basic patriotism being any greater or less than myself. I have never accused him of devious political corruption (largely because I don’t feel he understands the process enough to take advantage of it). I HAVE accused him if being totally incompetent to be president…. and I dislike him in that role vehemently each day with every nonsense tweet he makes.

Many right wing folks love to proclaim the media has this big contempt of Trump as they always bang away at the negatives. That suggests that the media must be in some great conspiracy. Does that even make any sense? All these independent news organizations that espouse the reporting of factual news is in reality in total collusion with each other behind the scenes? Or.. that the “liberals” (whoever they are) are so well organized and financed that they can dictate to the news organizations what to report? You flat out honestly think all those names you mentioned in your post… every one of them.. woke up one morning and said, “I’m going to run for public office and dedicate my entire life toward gaining power, influence, and wealth.. but more importantly, dream up plans to make conservatives look bad even if I have to lie, cheat, and make secret alliances in smoke-filled rooms?”

I guess I am asking, why is it always so much easier to presume everyone is wrong and Trump is right; and much more than just right, he’s to be worshiped. I’ve never worshiped any politician in my life. Yet you are so quick to condemn “non-believers” to the depths of hell.

Hmmmmm … Doug your remarks are so stunningly naive that I’ll have to take a few minutes to respond. I’m at work and have to go visit my surgeon in about an hour. I’ll get back to you on this.

Doug, I’m not sure where you got the idea that this post is about me bitching and conjuring up ‘conspiracy theories’ when people don’t agree with me. I have to admit I’m baffled at your take on that. To suggest that it’s a “conspiracy theory” that the media is going after President Trump is beyond ludicrous. They have admitted it many times and their actions, their constant negative reporting, the glee they illustrate if they find even the slightest gaff, the utter dispair they demonstrated when Trump won the election is only the tip of the ice-berg. Over 65 main stream media ‘big shots’ met with the Clinton Campaign to be sure they were all on the ‘same page’ with her. Donna Brazille supplied (and admitted to) debate questions to Hillary before the debates. The New York Times had to post a “correction” to the months long lie that “17 U.S. intelligence agencies said Russia tampered with the election” when in fact it was only a couple low level folks from 2 or three agencies, and that doesn’t even touch on the multiple “corrections” made by the Washington Post, after the fact, to their lying to the public.
Now, typical of someone who “leans left” I detect a bit of sarcasm in your “What, do these peope just wake up one day” and decide to do the stuff you mentioned. Do homosexuals wake up one day and think, “I wonder what it’s like to suck a guy’s dick?”
Doug, the left-wing agenda, the liberal agenda, the positioning of people in key places has taken decades to accomplish. Same with the media, same with our educational system. You can call it what you want, but the media’s job is to report the facts and all of the facts as they are to the American people, without bias, without slanting the material, without opinion. That’s it. What the media is doing to President Trump IS a conspiracy to discredit him, to formulate the opinion of the American people negatively towards him. When CNN admitted that better than 90% of their reporting has to do with the President and better than 90% of said reporting is meant to be negative then what do you call it?
Personally, I take offense to the “smoke filled rooms” comments and actually am surprised that you’re naive enough to take what the media reports at face value. Regardless of whether you like President Trump or not there is no excuse for the Democrats, establishment Republicans, the media, etc. to continue to block and obstruct everything he’s trying to do. I mean you don’t doubt his patriotism … then what’s the problem? You don’t like the way he combs his hair? You don’t like the way he talks? You don’t like it because he’s rich? You actually by into the lie that he’s racist? Odd that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton had their noses firmly up his ass until he started his campaign.
Anyway, thank you as always for your comments and you’re welcome here any time.
