Oppressed black football player millionaires to protest Monday night

September 18, 2016

Who’s going to watch the Philadelphia Eagles game Monday night? Not ol’ Steve. I don’t watch television anyway, haven’t for about 13 years. (Yes, I have a couple of them … I use one to watch Netflix movies, the other Rina watches in the kitchen … Unsolved mysteries and the like)

Eagles planning anthem demonstration on Monday night

The first Sunday of the regular season coincided with the 15th anniversary of 9/11. And while there were still some demonstrations from NFL players during the national anthem, at least one team refrained on that day — but won’t in Week Two.

“Everybody wants to be a part of it and I feel like it’s no different on our team,” Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins told Glen Macnow of WIP in Philadelphia on Friday, via CSNPhilly.com. “We got guys, especially myself, who feel very strongly about the topic. Last week, we talked about doing some stuff, but we wanted to make sure we didn’t do anything to take away from the folks, the families, that suffered from 9-11. We didn’t want to mess with that day, so we left last week alone. But moving forward, I’m sure there will be guys that will probably join in.”

Perhaps we should send them to the Middle East with a rifle over their shoulder ready for battle…

It is my personal opinion that a lot of them probably don’t have the cohones to participate in a shooting war. I think most of them are probably just waiting to make the announcements of who they really feel like inside and will “come out” sooner or later.

Yeah, they’d get to demonstrate what “real men” they really are.

I am an American and a Veteran and I am proud of my country and all my Fellow Americans and I am greatful for the sacrifices our brave heroes and heroines have made fighting on foreign soils in crud-hole countries for people who sometimes would rather chant “Death To America in their streets and burn their flag as a show of their gratitude for our sacrifices on their behalf.

I am 78 years old at this point in time and I would like to say that even though I appreciate our great national sports teams and their part in our American Tradition, I have not depended on them to keep me alive or to protect my freedoms.

I have been thrilled on occasion by some of the greats such as Babe Ruth, Wrong-Way Corrigan, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning and a few others … just like many other Americans …. but if I am now going to have my patriotic sensibilities insulted by the actions of a few radicalized football types or by any other sports figures in whatever the game or the league may be … and if they are going to drag the sacrifices made by my Fellow Veterans and Fellow Americans through their personal mud by disrespecting our National Anthem or our Flag —- I can learn to live without them …. and I damned well intend to.

I will not watch their games, I will not attend their games, I will not buy their memorabilia, I will purchase absolutely nothing with their pictures on it.

Until such time as these dissenting, disrespectful, ungrateful rich sons of (expletive deleted for the sake of decency) learn to respect our American Traditions, they can go to the bad place as far as I am concerned!

    I have my rights too!

Oppression: The exercise of authority or power in a burdensome, cruel, or unjust manner. Really guys you are just making yourselves look like idiots. so cruelly treated you are that it brings tears to my eyes…oh the pain and suffering you have endured….a statue should be erected (if it already hasn’t been) to bare public witness to all that you have been through it saddens me so, just to hear of your plight. Most who work have bosses and have far less freedom than you do. Obviously you have no grasp as to the depth of your ignorance of trying to look like more than you really are. Shut the #$% up you whining immature wads.
