Ted Cruz, you can sit down now.
“I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is.
I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”
That dear folks is the pledge each of the 17 Republican candidates signed last August when their campaigns were first starting. I knew at the time that it was geared to make Trump look bad because the Republican elite figured Trump would be too arrogant to make the pledge.
I knew also as time went on and candidate after candidate dropped out that it was coming down to Cruz and Trump. I knew also that Cruz wouldn’t support Trump … ever. I voted for Cruz in the Texas primary. Yeah, I drank the snake oil and voted ‘my conscience’ even though I was a Trump guy from the beginning. I think Cruz is a good enough guy, but I have to say I think Trump was right in labeling Ted Cruz as “Lying Ted.”
IMHO I think Cruz is using the ‘insult’ to his wife and the suggestion about his father being somehow involved in the JFK assassination as an excuse for not supporting Trump. To me this election isn’t about Trump or Cruz or the Republican Party. It’s about preserving the Republic of the United States and protecting the U.S. Constitution. In short, keeping Hillary Clinton out of the White House.
I’m disgusted by the arrogant, self-righteous #NeverTrump people, who are chomping at the bit to get Hillary elected. Christians who suddenly have been smitten with conviction at the thought of voting for Donald Trump … (I haven’t heard or read one justifying comment at all by any of them … just the usual … he’s arrogant, rude, crass, etc. Oh, I take it back … they will say Trump isn’t a Christian. That’s rich!) So they’ll sit home and not vote at all, essentially voting for Hillary. That’s been one of the problems with the Christian community for decades. Not getting involved with politics forgetting that the decisions of politicians directly affects their ability to worship freely.
Let Hillary get elected and appoint a couple of Supreme Court Justices and see if eventually your Christian beliefs aren’t considered “hate speech.”
Read what some of the assholes (forgive me) said about Cruz not endorsing Trump …
Thanks to Intellectual Froglegs for the screen shots.
Out of those four I find Mark Levin the most disgusting. What a piece of human trash. I know some of my conservative friends will get pissed off at me but I still, after listening to Levin for years come to the same conclusion; that he is a fraud. In a nut-shell the “defender of the Constitution” sat on his ass and didn’t make a peep knowing that Obama is a foreign national. Levin said (I’m putting it in my own words … but there’s a Youtube clip readily available) … “Lets pretend that Obama is a foreign national. Do you know how long it would take to litigate that action? And how are you going to get the Attorney General or five justices to go along with the proceedings? Lets move on …”
Yeah, the GREAT ONE!
And for your delight, listen to Laura Ingraham’s speech at the RNC … WOW!
