Of gasoline prices and lunch boxes
A couple of years ago I was complaining about the escalating price of gasoline. Naturally, much of the blame I directed towards Obama and his merry band of perverts. Okay, I felt and still do that if the liberals can blame Bush for the same stuff, then Obama is fair game. John Liming at American Liberal Times made the point that the president isn’t responsible for the price of gasoline going up or down. I mentioned at one point that if gasoline gets under $2.00 a gallon, I’ll give Obama credit anyway. On my way to work this morning I noticed a couple of gas stations had regular gas for $1.99 a gallon and there are some posting a price of $1.89 a gallon. So, here it is … “Good job Barack. But I still cannot wait until you’re gone.”
Okay, now that I lived up to my commitment I have to move along. (first though I’m going to fill up my truck!)
Well, we live in a violent world. Folks cutting other folk’s heads off, shootings, stabbings, plundering, pillaging, raping, not to mention young children carrying lunch boxes with violent images on them. The latter, thank goodness has been addressed …
“We noticed that Laura has a Wonder Woman lunchbox that features a super hero image,” reads the letter. “In keeping with the dress code of the school, we must ask she not bring this to school. The dress code we have established requests that the children not bring violent images into the building in any fashion – on their clothing (including shoes and socks), backpacks and lunchboxes.
“We have defined ‘violent characters’ as those who solve problems using violence. Super heroes certainly fall into that category.”
And here is the offending lunch box …
