My response to the comments on 9/11/2001 “A Conspiracy Theory”

January 7, 2013

I had been working on a reply to the comments regarding my post 9/11/2001 “A Conspiracy Theory”. It seems I had difficulty getting it done in the comments section so I think I’m going to do it here.

One thing I have a minor problem with is how conservatives readily agree with the fact that those within our government routinely lie to the American people … about everything. Most conservatives know our government stonewalls, delays, lie, eliminate witnesses, falsify information, mislead, misdirect and “wag the dog” to cover up their nefarious deeds. They will create crisis after crisis to further their agenda and arrive at a goal they deem as “the greater good” … the end justifies the means. Conservatives buy into these facts wholeheartedly … until someone suggests those in our government knew about, facilitated and perhaps coordinated the events of 9/11/2001. At that point they (conservatives) immediately attack and ridicule anyone who questions the “official version” of that tragic event.  The following is a perfect example of that …

I read the following on a conservative blog:

I guess ALL Conservative bloggers have had their differences with 9-11 Truthers, I know I have.

For those not familiar with the term *Truther*, it refers to a group of people that believe the U.S. government planned, and carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 against the citizens OF the USA at the World Trade Center and by attacking the Pentagon.

The terminology *Truther* refers to their DEMANDS that the truth about what really happened in those attacks be revealed. These *Truthers* don’t believe the attacks were carried out by Islamic terrorists and are usually connected to the moronic little troll named Ron Paul, and they generally support his platform and run for the presidency.

In other words, they are raving lunatics.

That was the blogger’s conclusion to an article written by Ann Barnhardt regarding the “truther” movement, and how stupid everyone is that questions the 9/11 Commission Report. In her column she states, “What kind of sound do failing steel joints make? Explosive sounds.”

I suppose that statement is rebuttal for witnesses that heard explosions (other than the planes hitting the buildings). Personally, I can’t claim to know that “failing steel joints” make explosive sounds as I’ve never been in a collapsing building. Perhaps she has. I have seen a prettier face on an iodine bottle. (forgive me, I couldn’t resist)

The following are from the comments section of the blogger’s post:

* Glenn Beck referred to truthers as idiots. Guess maybe I’ll listen to him again sometime. Keep your powder dry

* I LOVE Truthers… when I’m feeling bad, down and out, tired, a little Trutherism makes me laugh and think that there really are world class idiots in this world. Ms. Barnhardt’s post is one of the very best I have read about those idiots.

* 911 truthers, the very definition of stuck on stupid!

* Truthers have the saying: Ignorance is a virtue.

* Of course, high temperatures can’t cause metals to fail. As I disproved here.

* Gee, I always thought a Black Smith heated steel to form horse shoes and other implements. I guess to a Turther, he uses explosive devices to make horseshoes. Excellent well written article based on knowledgeable research.

* 9-11 Truthers are FOOLS… They accuse Bush and his administration of being the most incompetent administration in history but credit them with pulling off the most horrendous attack in U.S. history… I have a TROLL, a Ron Paul Libertarian Truther troll that told me that if I didn’t want to hear his moonbat theories that he just wasn’t going to link my blog in his faves and would NEVER visit my “ugly little blog again”… I was heartbroken… :P

Now I find out that not only is this TROLL a Ron Paul supporter and a TRUTHER, he’s a foul-mouthed LIAR too… Yeah John O’Neill, I read the message in the SPAM filter, and laughed my ass off at you, your childish screed and then I remembered you’re “and I’m not coming back” thing… Liar Liar Pants on Fire!

They ALWAYS come back… :P

My response to those “patriotic conservative” comments was:

That kind of stuff is what I would expect to see on a liberal, far left wing blog, and I do every day. Name calling, mocking, condescending blather. All those comments are from conservative bloggers. And these are the same people that think those in our government are conspiring to make America a socialist nation. That think those in our government are plotting to take away our guns. That think the media is biased and liberal and lie to us. They call it the “lame stream” media, yet they sit like lap dogs scarfing every word the same media feeds them regarding 9/11.

Many of the “fools”, “idiots”, “stuck on stupid” “lunatics” are people who lost husbands, wives, sons and daughters on 9/11/2001. Most are not satisfied with the blatant cover up by the government and media and have every right to question the “official” 9/11 Commission Report. I apologize to the good people who lost loved ones for the comments by conservatives. They wave flags and mourn your loss while calling you names. It’s disgusting and they make me sick.

In America we feel safe. We like to think our government is looking out for us and will protect the “homeland” from harm. We like the security and peace of mind and literally take it for granted that our nation is safe and we can live our lives in  peace.  The thought that we are not safe from harm by our own government is not acceptable. In fact that thought is something so frightening it has to be dismissed immediately, yea even defended against.  Friends, that mind-set is very dangerous. That is a mind-set that can be exploited in the most diabolical of ways.

“We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth”.  Patrick Henry

I guess one point I’m trying to make here is governments have sacrificed and murdered their own people for centuries. Always in the quest for the agenda of  the “greater good”, whether  that “greater good” is really good is irrelevant.  But that stuff only happens to other countries, right? Only to third world nations, right? History begs to differ. Anyway, what makes us think our elected leaders are incapable of such evil? Because they dress in nice suits and can ramble off patriotic slogans?

Enough said. For me, I’ve researched the tragic events of 9/11/2001 for years now and I’ve arrived only at more questions as to why and how. I’m going to provide several links to various posts so anyone who may have an inquiring mind can look into the topic some more.

A side note here … you will notice the comments section for this post will have very few, if any comments. You can be a “birther” and conservatives will love you. But if you’re a “truther”, well, we know.

The “Never” in “Never Forget” didn’t last long …

I do want to post a short video my good friend upaces88 provided in the comments section of   9/11/2001 “A Conspiracy Theory”.

To be honest with you, Steve, I had no idea about all this and I am so disppointed to know about it. Such a shame that greed fills so many people.

Marianne, the “greed” you’re referring to is much deeper than the love of money. The lust for power and control is beyond our comprehension as ‘regular people’. We are content to support our families, raise our kids, and have a decent home in a decent neighborhood. Some folks a little more, some a little less. But trying to grasp the mind-set of someone addicted to power is very difficult. Look at the majority of people in the Congress. Many are millionaires and most are at or beyond the normal retirement age. So, what keeps them there? What drives them to stay in Congress until they are literally carried out in a body bag? Power.
It is written … “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase…”
The lust for power is infinitely stronger than the love of silver. And you and I cannot understand what kind of person it is who gives their entire life to amassing power and control over others.

You are right again, I cannot understand it all but I do know that sometimes there is a demonic like pull that can come with power. Abraham Lincoln said it best: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

I guess not a lot of people pass the test of character.

I guess not a lot of people pass the test of character.

Indeed and a huge fail Marianne.

Especially the current POTUS and so many others before him.

I don’t fall on either side of the truther debate personally, but do believe that all are entitled to their opinions without ridicule. Could the Govt. do it? I don’t know, but ask Timothy Mcveigh how after all his careful planning he forgot to put a tag on his getaway car….

I probably would but I hear he’s not available for comment …
