Steve’s Rant For The Day …

July 31, 2012

While driving to work this morning I was thinking about the new proposal to ban online purchases of ammunition. More regulations, more government intrusion into the lives of law-abiding citizens. If they (“they” means the slime in the government) can’t fully implement the ban on gun ownership in America, they’ll just make it nearly impossible to purchase ammunition. After all a gun isn’t much good without bullets. I can’t help but think, the same walking,  talking piles of a$$ shout “racism” and other ridiculous claims of disenfranchisement of the poor people of color over common sense requirements of showing a photo ID when voting … yet it’s not “racist” or discriminatory to require people to show ID to buy a firearm or ammunition. What? Only rich, white folks are allowed to own a gun? What about “affordable” firearms for the poor people of color that just want to be able to own a firearm for protection? Shouldn’t they be able to protect themselves seeing many of these people could live in areas that may not be safe? It isn’t fair that the poor, who can’t afford photo ID, to have to show one to buy a gun or ammunition.

The following is a direct quote from a liberal blogger just so everyone can get an idea of the ignorance we on the right have to put up with when dealing with a liberal:

When the discussion comes up about placing any kind of control on the sale, manufacture and distribution of lethal firearms in
The United States, the Fringe Right goes bananas and starts screaming about
Second Amendment Rights.

The one thing I believe the Far Righties are going to fight tooth and nail to the death
for is the right for anyone and everyone – - – sane or crazy – - – to buy as
many guns and as big guns and as many thousands of rounds of killer ammunition
as can be bought without any “Gubmint” regulation, oversight or control
whatsoever so help me God!

It doesn’t seem to matter how many Columbines, Virginia Techs or Colorados it might
take – - – “They” are going to keep their hands off Rightie’s Second Amendment
rights and “They” are going to keep their hands off “Our Guns” and Big Money and
the special interests are going to continue to control the conversation about
guns in the United States at any cost it seems to me.

Bizarre!!!

This will be a little off topic, but to demonstrate the liberal mind-set: A week or so ago there was a story about a young lady who died from an abortion performed at a Planned Parenthood clinic. I was commenting on a liberal blog site I visit from time to time and suggested that maybe some tougher restrictions might have saved the young lady’s life. The liberal blogger, in all her benevolence and compassion wrote … “Steve, you know, ‘shit happens’ …”
There’s another left-wing, liberal blogger that because he doesn’t see tanks and armed military personnel blocking church building entrances, there’s no attack on religious freedoms … ie, Christians. Because the government hasn’t knocked on our doors yet, demanding we surrender our guns … to this guy, there is no danger of firearm confiscation from the government. These people think there isn’t enough government regulations or control over our lives.

I found an excellent piece at Blacklisted News which points out just a little of how everything we do is controlled right now by the government. Whether its federal, state or local, private citizens are under some government rule, regulation or oversight in nearly everything we do.  Remember the little lemonade stands we used to set up on the weekends? A thing of the past … without a permit, and even then the FDA will shut your a$$ down. How about trying to have a yard sale to get rid of some stuff you don’t use any more?  Hello permit.  Girl scouts selling girl scout cookies … not in your own front yard.  Feed the homeless?  Nope.

Just tell the homeless “shit happens” …

So what do we do? Yeah maybe we can vote Obama out, send him and the “queen” packing back to Chicago. Then what? We still have John Boehner leading the Republican party and this guy replaced his manhood with a Tampon many years ago. Then we have people like John McCain …  forget it, I can’t get started on that compromised sell-out.

I’ll tell you what we, conservatives need. We need a Nancy Pelosi and a Harry Reid in the Republican leadership. As much as I loathe them, I have to admire their commitment to what they believe in. They are ruthless, and until we get some people with balls and attitude like them placed in the Republican leadership … we’ll continue to watch our liberties and freedoms (and our children’s) disolve until there isn’t any left.

Yessir…The Right needs leaders with BIG-O-BALLS…btw, Boehner ‘replacing his manhood with a Tampon’ is a classic! Possibly we need to go the way of Chuck Woolery and his restartcongress.com and term-limit these idiots who do not represent WE THE PEOPLE!

I tell ya donchute, term limits is the only way to go on these weasels. Only about 1% of Americans are millionaires yet over 50% of the members of Congress are … They NEVER leave office until carried out in a body bag. Look at Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd and then there are the guys like Reid, Pelosi, John McCain, and a host of others in their 70′s and 80′s that won’t leave! It’s un-freaking-believable!

I agree with you, Steve and yes, you have a right to be angry. It is the constitutional right of every law-abiding American to defend themselves with a firearm. In order to carry a concealed handgun, one must pass a background check, being tested to use the gun correctly and pass a written test…i.e. be a responsible, law-abiding citizen. Being a mighty rough-collie, I have no need of a gun…I can protect myself and those I am guarding but I sure wouldn’t mind it if my humans I guard could protect themselves once in awhile…with a gun, if need be. Ruffity-ruff!
