Have We Crossed The Rubicon?

April 9, 2012

America: A Government Out Of Control

The idiom “Crossing the Rubicon” means to pass a point of no return.

Rubicon Meaning and Definition from Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)
Rubicon \Ru”bi*con\, n. (Anc. geog.) A small river which separated Italy from Cisalpine Gaul, the province alloted to Julius C[ae]sar. Note: By leading an army across this river, contrary to the prohibition of the civil government at Rome, C[ae]sar precipitated the civil war which resulted in the death of Pompey and the overthrow of the senate; hence, the phrase to pass or cross the Rubicon signifies to take the decisive step by which one is committed to a hazardous enterprise from which there is no retreat.

Below I’ve pointed out and then listed some current events that in very small ways are destroying this nation. Individually, they are not much of a problem. Collectively, and these are just a few, we’ve allowed the corruption to go too far. I sincerely believe we’ve “Crossed The Rubicon”.

Voter Fraud

I took a break from work this afternoon and drove up to a local restaurant for lunch. I listened to Rush Limbaugh for the short period of time it took me to drive the 3 or 4 miles. He was talking about how James O’Keefe exposed how easy it is to commit voter fraud without a photo ID. He (O’Keefe) walked into a voting station and requested Eric Holder’s primary voter ballot and obtained it without showing any form of identification. Rush went on and on about how “brillilant” O”Keefe was in pulling this off, exposing the obvious; that Democrats and Eric Holder want to preserve the activity of voter fraud. In spite of the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in 2008 that Indiana’s tough voter ID law was constitutional, Eric Holder blocks any effort of any state to enforce a state law requiring voters to show a photo ID, proving who they are before they can vote.

Obama’s Forged Birth Certificate

Lord Christopher Monckton, Margaret Thatcher’s former policy advisor.  In his role as a policy adviser to Thatcher in the 1980s, Monckton reviewed fraud cases and developed single-page briefs with an action plan for the British prime minister. Upon reviewing the evidence produced by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse, he had this to say: “My assessment is that they are right to be worried, that document is not genuine.”  Monckton said that he has checked out some of the arguments presented by people attempting to defend Obama’s birth certificate as a valid document. But, “It’s really very clear that they are unable to account for the manner in which the document, now purported to be a birth certificate, on the White House government website, has been fabricated,” he said. “They can’t replicate that fabrication by any natural or normal means.”

“… the implications for those who have perpetrated what appears, at least on the face of it, to be a serious fraud, are very grave, indeed.”
The media as a whole continues to ignore this, as well as every member of the Congress and the Supreme Court.

Even though the Supreme Court could strike down the Affordable Health Care bill the Obama regime is still hastily spending tax payer’s money to get this thing implemented as quickly as possible. The Obama administration is diverting roughly $500 million to the IRS to help implement Obmaa’s healthcare law.

Barack Obama Selling America Out

“This is my last election…After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama told Medvedev, who said he would relay that message to the new Russian “president” Vladimir Putin. “On all of these issues, but particularly missile defense this, this can be solved but it’s important for him (Putin) to give me space.” Barack Obama

■In 2009 Obama scrapped the long awaited missile defense system for Poland and the Czech Republic because Russia objected.
■He has refused to keep secret the technical data on the U.S Standard Missile-3, as called for in the 2012 defense authorization bill.
■Obama will not pledge to keep American missile technology from China, North Korea and Iran, as it would “…interfere with [his] constitutional authority to conduct foreign affairs…”
■Obama will provide Russia information on every Trident missile supplied to Great Britain as part of an arms control deal signed with Russian President Medvedev.
■Leaked cables show that the US will now provide Russia with ALL serial numbers of Trident missiles transferred to Britain.
■Obama proposes the United States CUT its nuclear arsenal by 80%, yet demands no reciprocity on the part of Russia or any of America’s enemies.
■Joe Miller, 2010 US Senate candidate from Alaska, reports that, under the guise of drawing a boundary, 7 Alaska-area islands and oil rich sea beds containing perhaps billions of barrels were given to Russia in an unannounced, secret deal by Obama’s State Department.

Now just for a few headlines and links to some current articles revealing just a small fraction how far we’ve allowed the corruption within our government to go. Is the situation fixable? What will four more years of Barack Obama bring? What if the Republicans win the 2012 election? With all the things listed here, plus the debt, unemployment, racial divide, class warfare, fraud, waste of tax payer’s money, indoctrination of our children with sexual perversion and rewriting history, have we “Crossed The Rubicon”? Have we reached the point of no return? There isn’t one member of the Congress that honors their oath of office …

I think we crossed the Rubicon when we allowed Barack Hussein Obama into the White House. That was our point of no return as a nation.

It’s no problem. I read Michael C. Rupperts book “Crossing the Rubicon” … at least a good portion of it last year. Very informative.
I wasn’t trying to “steal” his title … but thought “Have We Crossed The Rubicon” would be appropiate for this post.

More than appropriate! I was just astounded that putting the URL in the reply box resulted in the videos; It should be that easy when making a post, instead of having to use HTML, and reverting to visual.

P.S. Please edit out the “9”, I didn’t intend for that. It’s two parts.

I think, at heart, you might be a lawyer. You are excellent at building cases, layering evidence upon evidence until you have a towering inferno of information.

You can’t be talking about me Vanessa! I’m just ol’ Steve.
I visited your blog yesterday … cute stuff as always. I see you’re very busy on Twitter. I still don’t know what that site is all about yet. Seems wierd just putting a sentence on there and people that follow you read it. I don’t get the object of the site yet.

Of course I’m talking about you! Now stop that! “Ol’ Steve” is one smart guy. :)

I’m just keeping to the lighter side on my regular blog. TMJ reminded me of a good verse that spoke to my heart – Pro 17:22.

On Twitter – mostly I just forward interesting articles I see in my Reader. I once heard Twitter described as microblogging. You can link your WP to Twitter so it’ll automatically tweet your posts – bring in some followers that way also. :) Dashboard – My Blogs – then check the boxes you want under “Publicize,” and voila! Your posts sent to Twitter and FaceBook and other places you want. :) I like that it saves time. :) *Hugs*
